Substitute Circulation Clerks

Portage County District Library system is looking for people to work on an “as needed” basis to fill in for our regular staff members at our branches in  Aurora, Garrettsville, Randolph, Streetsboro and Windham.

Hourly rate: $11.49 per hour            Travel Reimbursement Rate:  $10.00/day

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalency. Customer service skills. Basic computer skills and /or ability to learn such skills.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Circulation clerks serve patrons by checking material in and out, answering phones and patron questions. See Circulation Clerk Job Description for additional requirements.

Training: Provided at each branch

SUBSTITUTE Outreach Services Driver & Materials Delivery Driver

Portage County District Library system is looking for people to work on an “as needed” basis to fill in for our delivery drivers working out of our Garrettsville Branch.

Hourly Rate: $11.49/hour Materials Delivery Driver Substitute. 

                      $14.17/hour Outreach Services Substitute.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalency. Valid Ohio Driver’s License with good driving record. Ability to move materials from one location to another.  Position requires physical agility including the ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb and lift 40 pounds. Ability to perform general building repairs and maintenance. Availability to work during regular Library hours is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Good driving skills.  Ability to follow instructions in written, oral and picture form. Knowledge and skill in general maintenance and minor repairs of facilities, furniture and equipment. Ability to demonstrate physical fitness required for extended periods of manual labor.   Job description located below.
