All-Day Library Programs & Events

Occasionally PCDL branch libraries will host library programs which have elements that are available for library patrons to pick up anytime during normal library service hours. Whether it is a reading contest for a prize with a book reading log or a "make and take" craft for all age groups, these programs are featured here:

AURORA MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Acorn Guessing Contest for Kids
Now through November 30
Children are invited to guess the number of acorns in a jar (without exceeding the actual number) for a chance to win a stuffed squirrel and book. Call 330-562-6502 for more information

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ongoing Branch Program
Parents and caregivers may take the challenge to read 1,000 books to their preschool children. Starter kit includes a free tote bag. Children receive a free book at the 500-book milestone and a t-shirt when they reach the 1,000 books goal. Call 330-562-6502 for registration.

PIERCE STREETSBORO LIBRARY

Dragons Love Tacos Storywalk
Now through December 6
Families are invited to walk the Streetsboro City Park's waved walking loop, which is adjacent to the Pierce Streetsboro Library, to hear the story Dragons Love Tacos.
Trips begin at dawn and end at dusk. Call 330-626-4458 for registration or for more information.
