Occasionally PCDL branch libraries will host library programs which have elements that are available for library patrons to pick up anytime during normal library service hours. Whether it is a reading contest for a prize with a book reading log or a "make and take" craft for all age groups, these programs are featured here:



1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ongoing Branch Program
Parents and caregivers may take the challenge to read 1,000 books to their preschool children. Starter kit includes a free tote bag. Children receive a free book at the 500-book milestone and a t-shirt when they reach the 1,000 books goal. Call 330-562-6502 for registration.

Storywalk in the Park
May 1 through May 17 at Thomas Heritage Park
Program partnership between PCDL, City of Streetsboro, Friends of Streetsboro Parks & Friends of the Pierce Streetsboro Library
Enjoy a fun, educational activity that places children's storybook along a popular walking route in the community, combining physical activity with books for all ages. This reading route is along the Woodland Trail at Thomas Heritage Park. Call 330-626-4458 for additional information.


The Bad Seed Storytime
Now through April 30

Children's Book Bundles
Now until December 31, 2021

Book Bundles consist of 4 to 5 picture books and/or nonfiction books based on a central theme. Also included is a user-friendly craft and/or activity. There are Book Bundles for all ages.
